MARSHALL, Gordon A. - At Sakura House surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Gordon Alexander Marshall of Golspie in his 102nd year. Beloved husband of Vera (nee Eastman) Marshall for over 65 years. Dear father of Ray and his wife Lynn of Niagara Falls, Gord and his late wife Susan (1989) and Ron and his wife Wendy all of Golspie. Beloved grandfather of Drew, Neil, Kate Kalbfleisch (Larry), Scott, Marie, Alex, Laurence and Meredith. Dear brother-in-law of Don Eastman (Molly) of Hamilton and Dorothy Gordon (late Frank) of B.C. Predeceased by his parents William and Elsie (nee McKay) Marshall, his sister Catharine Findlay and brothers Mack and Clifford. Gordon was a lifetime member and past Elder of Knox United Church, Embro. He served his community as counsellor of West Zorra Township and later as Reeve for the Township. Friends will be received by the family for a time of visitation at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 12:00 - 1:00 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Judy Campbell officiating. Interment later in the Old Log Church Cemetery.
