Gordon George Latford

LATFORD, Gordon – Passed away peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Donna Marie (nee Gilmar) Latford. Loving father of Vicki Leis, Cindy (Rev. Gary) Harvey, and Lori (Dustin) Gomer. Cherished grandpa of Sean (Laura), Ty (Bethann), Matt, Skyler, and papa to Avery. Great grandpa of 5. Dear brother of James Latford, Harry Roberts, and the late Sandra Bartlett. Gordon will be missed by many extended family members. Gord will always be remembered for his sense of humour and larger than life presence! His dedication to helping others was the hallmark of his life – especially as Woodstock’s local Red Cross Hero, and his many volunteer roles at his home church of Huron Park Baptist. Gord loved God, loved his family, and loved others. His prayer for life was captured in the words of Proverbs 3: 5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

Friends are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm. A time of visitation will take place at Huron Park Baptist Church, 199 Berwick St., on Wednesday, July 13 from 10 to 11 am with the funeral service in the chapel at 11:00 am.  If desired, memorial contributions to Red Cross Disaster Relief and may be made and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com
