Gordon Donald Harper

HARPER- Gordon Donald Harper, born October 25th, 1928, passed away peacefully in his 76th year on Thursday January 15th, 2004 at Woodstock General Hospital with his family by his side. Predeceased by his parents Gordon (Stub) and Isabella Harper. Loving husband of Lois (nee Sutton ). Devoted father of Jeff (Jill), Christine, Toni (Mark), and Quinn (Leann). Loving Bompa to Ryan, Brooke, Brigitte, Tori, Dana, Kyle, and Jordyn. Brother of Joan Harper (John) and Betty Weeks (late husband Lloyd). Brother-in-law to Joan and Larry Latford of London. Don owned and operated Harper Sports for 35 years, was a co-founder of Woodstock Ski Club and Woodstock Blue Sox Jr. Baseball Program. He was also a member of the Navy Club, and avid skier, and Beachcomber. Donald has taken his last walk on Long Point Beach. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday from 7-9pm where the complete funeral service will be held from the chapel on Saturday at 1:30pm with Rev. David Joyce officiating. Cremation. Contributions to the Woodstock General Hospital or Woodstock Minor Baseball would be appreciated.
