Glen Harold James Stead

Stead, Glendon Harold James - After a courageous battle, passed away suddenly at the London Regional Cancer Centre, London, on Sunday, August 5th, in his 62nd year. Loving husband of Linda Stead. Devoted father of Jason (Kasia) Stead, Amanda (Chris) Swarbrick, and Jessica (Trevor) Bright. Proud grandfather of Owen, Caitlyn, Olivia, Abby, Lucas and Lauren. Cherished son of Wilfred and the late Marie Stead. Dear brother of Randy (Cynthia) Stead and Brad Stead. He will always be remembered by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be forever missed by his granddogs Mason and Rosie. Glen was a loyal Loblaws employee for nearly half a century. He loved the outdoors; never passing up the opportunity to go fishing or hunting. He was a passionate and dedicated Leaf and Argos fan. An avid cook whose dishes were loved by many and he was always the life of the party. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Friday August 10th, 2018, from 2-4pm and again from 6-8pm at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, ON (519-539-0004). A funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday August 11th, 2018, in the funeral home chapel at 2pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and may be arranged through the funeral home.
