MILLARD, Gladys - Born Oct. 11, 1924 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, passed away with her family by her side at her residence on Friday October 14, 2011. Gladys Jean (nee Smith) Millard of Caressant Care, Woodstock and formerly of Broadway St., Woodstock in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Henry H. Millard (1997). Dear mother of Stanley and his wife Judy and Sandy Millard all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Jeff Millard and Cory Millard both of B.C, Diane Dowding and her husband Chris, Shannon Emmerton all of Mississauga, Rob Emmerton of Woodstock and great grandmother of Hylas Millard, Showyn Millard, Reilly Emmerton, Tyler Dowding and Connor Dowding. Dear sister of Clarence Smith of Nova Scotia . Gladys was a longtime member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock and the Ladies Auxiliary, Rose Rebekah Lodge member for over 35 years and a member of T.O.P.S. Woodstock for over 25 years. Predeceased by her sister Tina and brothers Stanley, Charles, James and Henry. Friends may call at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday October 21, 2011 from 10:00 - 11:00 am where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 11:00 with Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
