BEATTIE, Gladys Irene - At Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday May 9, 2012. Gladys Irene (nee Stroud) Beattie of Woodstock in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late James David Beattie (1961). Dear mother of Pat Taplay and her husband Ray, Susan Robblee and her late husband Rodney all of Woodstock and the late Douglas James Beattie (1994), John "Jack" Allan Beattie (1999) and Robert Pryce Beattie (1991). Loved grandmother of Cheryl, Jeanette, Denise, Jamie, Robert, David, John, Travis, Ramsay, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great granddaughters. Dear sister of Marion Betterley of London and sister-in-law of Lawrence "Larry" Beattie and his wife Faye of London and Marjorie Fleck (late Art) of Corunna. A celebration of Gladys' life will be held at the "Navy Club" 959 James St., Woodstock, on Saturday May 26, 2012 from 1 - 4 pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sakura House or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004.
