Karn, Gertrude Elizabeth - With her family at her side, Gertrude Elizabeth (Gunner) Karn passed away peacefully at her residence Village On The Ridge, Ridgetown, formely of Durham Crescent, Woodstock, in her 96th year. Dear mother of Marilyn Girard of Windsor, Robert W. and Ruth of Rodney, and Alan. Loving grandmother of Tammy (Allen Hand) of Burlington, David Girard (Nicole) of Windsor, Bruce Karn (fiancee Kate) of Toronto, Grant Karn (Alicia) of Ottawa, Jeremy Karn (girlfriend Sarah) of Guelph, Myles Karn (Katie) of Abbotsford, BC, and Ashley (Chad Hunter) of Penticton, BC. Loving great grandmother of Logan Hand, Grant and Gage Girard, Elizabeth Karn, Addison Karn, Hannah and Lauren Hunter. Predeceased by her husband Evert Grant (1965), daughter Beverley Ann (1943), two grandsons, and her parents Joseph and Hannah (Robert) Gunner. Gertrude was the secretary of Chalmers United Church, Woodstock for 16 years, as well as a former Sunday School teacher and life member of the U.C.W. She sold Avon from 1965-2010. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519 539-0004 on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 3:00-4:00pm. The complete service of celebration of Gertrude's life will take place at 4:00pm immediately following the visitation. Interment Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock.
