Germain Carol Gagnon

Gagnon, Germain Carol - Gregarious, fun loving, mischievous, Chef and accomplished traveler, died peacefully surrounded by his family, on Thursday July 26th, 2018 at the age of 71 years, 8 months in Victoria Hospital London Ontario. He married the love of his life Ann Perrault almost 50 years ago with whom he had three sons, Philippe (Anne MacKay Spanjers) of Sweaburg, Mathieu of Woodstock and André of Montreal. He taught them about life, to care for others and to work hard to achieve their goals. Papa took extreme pride in his grandchildren Justine (River Walton), Ryan (Cara Jancsar) Sophie and Lucas. Watching them play basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball or taking them on a road trip was a joyful event. He encouraged them to reach for the stars. Germain was the "go to guy" for problem solving. There was never any pretence in his advice. Everybody he came across has a fond memory or humorous tale to tell about something he did or said. He had a life long love affair with gadgets, electronics, cooking, country music and most recently, eradicating pigeons from the balcony. He was much loved and loved much. He was the brother of Fernand (Noella Harvey), Jean Paul (Thér&egravese Gagnon), Louise-Marie (Denise Gilbert), André (Clairette Lamontagne, Marthe Cinq-Mars), Florian (Marthe Grenier, Nicole Simard), Richard (Raymonde Hebert), Gaëtane (Soeur du Bon Pasteur) Gilles (Bibianne Verreault), Camille (Lisette Guerin), Régina (Soeur du Bon Pasteur), Gervais (Helene Caron). His brothers and sister in laws: Gord Perrault (Jan Goodison), Janet Perrault (André Cayer), Donna Perrault (Peter Smalley), Michelle Perrault (Barry Freiheit) and best friend and beloved son in law to Phyllis Lewis and Edward Perrault. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Germain's life will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
