VAN DE LAAR, Gerardus "Gerry" - At his residence on Thursday November 5, 2015. Gerardus "Gerry" C. Van De Laar of Fairview Lodge, Whitby and formerly of RR# 2, Embro in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Van Der Does) Van De Laar for over 55 years. Dear father of Desiree (Jim) Learned, Brigitte Van De Laar, Gary Van De Laar and former father-in-law of Keith Burnett. Loved grandfather of Alyssa (Adam) Burnett-Roffel, Iain Burnett, Ria, Filippo, great grandfather of Logan and Lochlan and is survived by his two sisters, several in-laws and nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering of friends and family will take place at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday November 14, 2015 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.
