KNOOP- Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday August 26, 2009. Gerardus "Gerry" Knoop of Woodstock and formerly of Beachville in his 79th year. Devoted and loving husband of Riek (KleinHerenbrink). Cherished father of Gerry (Amy), John (Sandra), Peter (Janet) and Bea (Al). Beloved Opa to Ben (Kelly), Tim (Chrissy), Adam, Brett, Shaun (Marcie), Angela (Jay), Nicole, Andrew, Michelle (Nathan), Joe and Danny. Special Great-grandfather to Maddy. Dearly loved brother of Nel, Antoon (Diane), Annie (Paul), Peter (Joanne), Jack (Anne) and Gonny (Kees). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gerardus and Petronella and his sister Riek. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Woodstock Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday August 29, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Father Richard Dales of Holy Trinity Catholic Church as celebrant. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
