Gerald Henry Kirbyson

KIRBYSON, Gerald Henry -of Beamsville, ON (originally Ufford, ON), passed away in his 87th year after a brief illness on Monday December 7th 2020. Gerald is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lillian Kirbyson (nee Wilson).  He is predeceased by two of his children, Rick Kirbyson and Karen McNeil.  He will be greatly missed by his son Steve, his daughter-in-law Shelley (Greg) Holton and his son-in-law Steve (Marilyn) McNeil.  He will be missed most by people who called him by his favourite name of “Papa”, his grandchildren; Brianne (Bruno), Spencer, Kari-Lee (Steve), Trevor (Krista), Jeff (Monique), and Patty. And by his heart broken great grandchildren: River (Kaitlyn), August-Rain, Teegan, Owen and Devon.  Gerald will also be fondly remembered by his brother Merlin, his sisters Marion and Sheila, and by his many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  A special thank you to the doting staff at the Butcher & Banker Restaurant for serving “Gerry” a daily cup of coffee with a heaping helping of kindness and conversation in his later years.  A friendly last reminder from Gerald…”Don’t get old and decrepit, and just keep smiling!”  Due to current restrictions a private gathering for friends and family will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock.  Please feel free to leave a message on their website and we look forward to having a larger celebration of Gerald’s life in 2021”    Personal condolences of love and sympathy may be given at www.brockandvisser.com
