Gerald Alexander Hart

HART, Gerald Alexander - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday November 7, 2017. Gerald Alexander Hart in his 80th year after a short illness and while residing on the family farm at R.R. # 3 Woodstock. Beloved husband of Alice Hart (nee Diamond). Dear brother of Nancy Steven (2017) husband Basil of Forest and brother Jim of R.R. # 3 Woodstock. Son of Alex S. Hart (1975) and Nellie I. Hart (2007). Stepfather to Dorleen Noels and Margery Lamb. Step-grandfather of 4 grand and 4 great-grandchildren. Gerald worked for several manufacturing companies in Woodstock including Bee Metal and MTO. He retired to the family farm to care for his brother Jim and develop a vegetable farm utilizing his hobby of purchasing Allis Chalmers tractors. He was a well known story teller and included in every story how each person was related by birth or marriage. Special thank you to the CCAC caregivers for assisting his brother Jim while on the farm and neighbours for helping out during Gerald's time in hospital. Also thanks to step-daughter Dorleen Noels and cousin Graham Hart for arranging respite care for Jim and Alice. Cremation has taken place and a service of celebration will be held next spring.
