Georgiena Mae Kerr

Georgiena Mae Kerr, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023, in Woodstock, Ontario. Born on March 22, 1937, Georgiena lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of everyone she met with her warmth and kindness.

Georgiena was a devoted wife to her husband, Bill, whom she married on September 8, 1956. Their love story spanned over six decades, filled with shared dreams, laughter, and an unbreakable bond. Together, they raised four wonderful children, Brian (Beverley), Nanette (Scott) Henderson, and Michael (Lee Ann). Georgiena was predeceased by her son Scott in 2015, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Georgiena was a proud grandmother to Jeffery, Adam, Madison, Samantha, Sarah, Logan, and Keela. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, and her love for them knew no bounds. Georgiena also leaves behind her dear cousins Rick, Bonnie, Jane, and Bill, who will miss her dearly.

Georgiena was a hardworking woman who spent many years farming. Her strong work ethic and dedication were evident in everything she did. She was also deeply involved in her community, serving as an Akela Leader of Cubs and Scouts. Her leadership and commitment to service made a significant impact on many young lives.

Beyond her work and community involvement, Georgiena had a zest for life that was truly inspiring. She was an avid lawn bowler and enjoyed organizing and attending various fundraising events, banquets, and catering. Georgiena had a knack for bringing people together, and her events were always filled with laughter, good food, and great company.

During the winter months, Georgiena and Bill would escape the cold Canadian weather and head to Arizona. There, they enjoyed potluck suppers with friends, basking in the warmth of the sun and the company of good friends. These trips were a highlight for Georgiena, and she looked forward to them every year.

Memorial Visitation will take place on Wednesday November 1, 2023 from 12-2 pm followed by a funeral service at 2 pm held at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel (177 Dundas St.). Interment will take place at Zion Cemetery. Share a memory at www.brockandvisser.com
