WISSON, George Frederick - (July 20, 1930 - December 14, 2010), peacefully passed away with his best friend and loving wife Bernice Shirley (nee VanFleet) by his side at the Sakura House in Woodstock. Son of the late Isabella and George Albert Wisson. He leaves his wife Bernice of 59 years, son Doug Wisson and his wife Anne (Bender) of Brantford, daughter Diane Hari (Wisson) and family friend Susan Yeoman of Norwich, grandchildren Jamie Hari (Halley McPolin) of Waterloo, and Devan Wisson of Brantford and great grandson Kaden Hari. Brother-in-law to Marjorie Johnson (late Wes) of Brantford, Fred VanFleet (Joanne) of London, David VanFleet (Shirley) of Brantford, Ralph VanFleet (Corry) of St. George, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father in law Sybil & Willard VanFleet. George drove transport for many years then became lead hand of caretakers for Burlington School Board, later transferring to Brantford District School Board. George was filled with love, compassion, and humour for all. In keeping with his wishes, George asked his body be donated to the University Of Western Ontario in London for medical research. In memory of George, contributions to the VON Sakura House, Woodstock and may be arranged through the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004. A special thank you to Libby Harmer for taking care of the arrangements and to Dr. Karen Fryer for her dedication to our family and the families in need at Sakura House. To anyone we forgot to mention....your actions will never be forgotten. Thank you. To our father, grandfather, great grandfather and a loving husband...You are forever in our hearts - until we meet again. Love... your family.
