George Jacob Vandorp

VanDORP, George Jacob – Passed away suddenly at Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton on Saturday March 13th 2021.  George J. VanDorp of Port Elgin and formerly of Woodstock in his 66th year.  Beloved son of the late Hendrik and Magdalena VanDorp.  Loved partner of Glenda Irwin.  Cherished father of Valentino Irwin-VanDorp, Kaitlyn Irwin-VanDorp and Nathan VanDorp.   Dear brother of John (Karen) VanDorp,  Connie (John) Jeninga, Henry VanDorp, Calvin (Lisa Lucas) VanDorp, Lisa (Darryl) Minogue and Gabe Arsenault (Bill).   Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his children Stacey (2000) and Connor (2008).   Friends and family are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004),  on Sunday March 21st 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday March 22nd 2021 at 2:00pm.  (Visitors are required to RSVP for the visitation and service on the funeral home website, spaces are limited).    Interment to follow at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.    If desired, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.  Expressions of love and sympathy may be given at www.brockandvisser.com
