PLATT - At Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday May 27, 2003. George E. Platt of Huron St., Woodstock in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Elsie E. Platt (nee Weeks). Dear father of Patricia Appleton and her husband Beverley of Ingersoll. Loved grandfather of William and his wife Sheila of Ingersoll and great grandfather of Cassandra Paget and Robert and Nicole Appleton. Predeceased by his parents George and Blanche Platt, brothers Edward and Nathaniel and his granddaughter Christine Paget and her husband Mark. George was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Thursday 2:30 -4:30 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday at 11:00 am with Rev. David Joyce officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated
