McGahan- At his residence on Sunday September 28, 2003. George McGahan of R.R.# 1 Woodstock in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Marion McGahan. Loved father of Don and his wife Katherine of Ottawa. Dear friend of Mildred Elliott and her family of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Michael and his wife Jill, Susan Sternberg and her husbnad Michael, David and his wife Jennifer all of Ottawa, and loved great grandfather of Bradley, Taylor, Matthew and Brendan; Aviva; and Cameron. Predeceased by his brother Alexander Leroy McGahan. George was a member of Oxford Lodge #76 A.F. & A.M. as well as having received an award from the Governer's General Office for his 25 years community commitment (1952-1977). Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (539-0004) Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Donald Linkletter of Chalmers United Church officiating. Interment Hillview Cemetery. Contributions to the Chalmers United Church would be appreciated.
