George Thomas Matheson

MATHESON - At Stratford General Hospital on Saturday August 16, 2003. George T. Matheson of Embro in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Donna F. Matheson (nee Whetstone). Dear brother of Christine Piett of Woodstock, Jean Blair and her husband Robert of Embro and Donna Rowe and her husband Cecil of Minden. Loved brother-in-law of Betty Matheson and her husband Robert, Verna Whetstone, Ray Whetstone and his wife Helen all of Embro. Also survived by many nieces, nephews , great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Stuart Piett, Les Johnson and Warren Whetstone. George was Past President of the Zorra Caledonian Society and a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Embro. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dave Ketcher officiating. Interment in the North Embro Cemetery. Contributions to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Embro or the Gene and Cell Therapy would be appreciated.
