LANE, George S. - Suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound, on Friday April 6th, 2012. George Stanley Lane of Woodstock in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Carolyn Rosemary (nee Packer) Lane. Much loved father of Scott and his wife Christy of Innerkip, and Kelly and her husband Dean Kowalchuk of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Meagan, Ashley, Lauren and Sydney. Also survived by his sister The Reverend Virginia C. Lane of London, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents William "Bill" and Charlotte (nee Brickwood) Lane. George was the Past Master of the Masonic Lodge Mercer Wilson Branch. The family will receive friends at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Wednesday April 11th, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday April 12th, 2012 at 11:00 am, with Archbishop Percy O' Driscoll officiating. Cremation followed by interment to take place at a later date in the Christ Church Huntingford Cemetery.
