George "Ron" Ronald Hutcheson

HUTCHESON, George Ronald - Passed away peacefully at People Care Nursing Home, Tavistock, on May 14, 2016 in his 90th year. Ron was the loving husband of Audrey (Baigent) Hutcheson for nearly 65 years. Father to Joyce and Rodney MacDuff, Gwen and Grant Hansford, Mary and Rick Hodgins, Janet and John Couch, and Kenneth Hutcheson. Ron is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild as well as his brother Keith Hutcheson. Son of the late Ronald and Ethel Hutcheson. Also predeceased by his sister Margaret Green. Relatives and Friends are invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, where the funeral will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 11:00am. Pastor Mary Dillon officiating. Interment in the Putnam Cemetery with reception to follow in the Reynolds Creek United Church, Putnam, ON. A dairy farmer and lifelong church member, Ron had a keen interest in agriculture and community affairs. His main commitment however, was to his family and to encouragement of the young people in the community. For many years he kept his chainsaw in tune, greatly enjoying an hour in the bush. Ron will be greatly missed by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sleeping Children Around the World or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
