CHEYNE, George Howard- Passed away peacefully in his 86th year at his home on December 13th, 2016. Beloved husband of June (nee Browes) Cheyne for 60 years. Dear father of Debbie (Gord) Eddy, Teena (Robert) Hird, Andy (Linda) Cheyne, Kim (Joe) Wood, Robin (Darryl) Schultz, and Dave (Lori) Cheyne. Cherished grandfather of Jason (Becky) Eddy, Blake (Sarah) Eddy, Adam (Silvia) Eddy, Nathan (Kate) Wade, Nicki (Nick) Da Silva, Daniel (Anita) Hird, Matthew (Rebecca) Hird, Jamie (Joanna) Wood, Jennifer (Craig) Hartley, Emily (Ryan) Schultz, Brynn Shultz, Avori (Chris) Cheyne, Olivia (Brad) Cheyne, and Hunter Cheyne. Great grandfather of 17. Loving brother of Anita Mountjoy, Caroline (Graham) Brown, and Lynda (Jim) King. Predeceased by his parents A.P. and Caroline Cheyne, brother-in-law Eric Mountjoy and brothers-in-law, Jack, Doug, and Bill Browes. George was a lifetime farmer and standardbred Horseman. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Sunday December 18th, 2016 from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm where the service will be held in the chapel on Monday December 19, 2016 at 2pm.
