BONNEY - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday July 24, 2009. Gene L Bonney of Woodstock in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Rose Marie (nee Tottle) Bonney. Dear step father of John McGrath of Woodstock. Special Papa and best friend of Willy and Michael McGrath. Dear brother of Ruth Gallagher of Burford, Phyllis Parkhill of Powassen, Marie Dinsmore, William Bonney (Shirley) all of Paris, Larry Bonney (Anne) of Brantford and Loyd Bonney of Blenheim. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Special uncle to Kerrie Kipp of Ingersoll. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Edna Bonney, brothers-in-law Bill Gallagher, Earl Parkhill, Don Dinsmore and Bill "Kipper" Kipp and his late wife Gloria. Gene was employed by the Dept. Of Highways for over 30 years. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday July 27, 2009 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Joe Daniel officiating. Interment in the Princeton Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Woodstock General Hospital Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated.
