Geesina Voogd

VOOGD GEESINA – Peacefully at Holland Christian Homes Grace Manor, on Thursday June 1st, 2023, Geesina Voogd (nee DeVries) of Brampton in her 94th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jakob and her sons Albert (Nancy) and Brian (Annette). Survived by her children George (Edna), Anne VanderPloeg (Andy), Helen Bloemendal (Albert), Jenny Bloemendal (Gerald), Jake (Fadia), Wayne (Nadine) and Eugene (Cristine). Loved Oma of twenty one grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren. Geesina is also predeceased by her siblings Jan, Jantje, Frouk, Gerrit, Hillie, Riek, Alie, and Wieny.

Geesina was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior for the entire duration of her life. Beyond being a wonderful human being she lived as an example of her faith and goodness, to her family through the generations that began with her and Jakob. A loving kind soul who did not know compromise to truth and kindness. Her wit and laughter were very evident until the end, and she was confident and embraced the fact that she was going home to be with Jesus.

The family will receive friends at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock on Tuesday, June 20th, with visitation from 10-11 am followed by a pastoral service at 11 am officiated by Pastor Richard Bodini. A private family graveside service will be held at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to Holland Christian Homes – Grace Manor would be appreciated.
