KROES, Geertruida Antonia “Trudy” (nee Weststrate)

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Trudy was the beloved wife of Lenndert “Len” Kroes for 71 years. Loving mother and grandmother of Gerald (Sherry) Kroes, (Cory and Lance), Nancy (Rob) Rocca (Vanessa and Alexandra), Jack (Marg) Kroes (Brad, Shelley, Lorraine), Pat (Murray) Logan (Leah, Matthew, Chris, Curtis), Don (Heidi) Kroes (Ashlyn and Jayce), and Len (Sue) Kroes (Megan and Gavin). She was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren’s spouses, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Trudy was predeceased by her parents as well as her eight siblings. Trudy’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with Len, her husband, camping with her family, and spending time with friends at their cottage. Trudy was always busy creating. She was a talented seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and she even upholstered furniture. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004), on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St., N., Woodstock at 11am. Interment to be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Secord Trails in Ingersoll for their dedication and care.
