RICH - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday November12, 2002. Garry J. Rich of Woodstock in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Gerry H. (nee McIsaac) Rich for 44 years. Dear father of Brent and his wife Cathie of Dorchester, Wendy Robinson and her husband Greg of Pickering, Heather Stock and her husband Mike of Woodstock and Chad and his wife Anita of Waterloo. Loved grandfather of Taylor, Sebastian, Austin, Sarah, Samantha, Lisa, Graham, Leslie, Julie, Kristi, Whitney and Nathan. Dear brother of Kenneth and his wife Pat of Powassan, Norman and his wife Joan of Whitby, Margaret Ann Popkie and her husband Bernie of Powassan and Monica Conrad and her late husband Mervin of Sudbury. Garry is also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Carl and his wife Edna and by two nephews. Garry had a long and distinguished banking career for over 41 years with the Bank of Nova Scotia after which he retired in 1994, he was involved with the Kinsmen, Lions Club, Lung Association and Curling Clubs in many communities. Garry had also served with the St. Mary's Cemetery Board, served on the Finance Committee of St. Rita's Catholic Church and was on the Board of Director's at the Southgate Seniors Centre. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Friday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm. The mass of the resurrection will be held at St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00am with Father Alan Dufraimont officiating. Interment in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Woodstock General Hospital Building Fund would be appreciated. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:30pm.
