EDE- After a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family on Thursday March 15, 2007. G.A. Garth Ede of Sunset Blvd. Woodstock in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Barbara S. Ede (nee Dunbar). Dear father of Scott and his wife Brenda of Woodstock, Laurie Ballard and her husband Michael of Collingwood. Loved and cherished grandfather of Darrel, Brayden and Katelyn Ede; Frances and Morgan Ballard. Dear brother of Harold Ede and his wife Donna and Wilbur Ede all of Woodstock. Dear brother-in-law of Janet Ede of London and Marie Ede of Midland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers James, Donald and Preston Ede. Garth was a member of the Mercer Wilson Masonic Lodge, the Woodstock Shrine Club and was a building inspector with the City of Woodstock for many years. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) Saturday 6-8 pm and Sunday 2-4. A private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
