Frederick Griggs

GRIGGS - At Parkwood Hospital on Saturday December 20, 2008. Frederick Griggs of London and formerly of Delatre Street, Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Doris Griggs (nee Saunders) of 60 years. Loved father of Pat Zehr (Don) of Woodstock, Frederick Griggs of St. Catharines, David Griggs (Esther) of St. Catharines, Tom Griggs (Jeany) of Langton and Margaret Walker (Jim) of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Fred was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his brothers William, Leonard and George. Fred proudly served his country in WWII and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #55. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday December 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the complete service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday December 23, 2008 at 11am.
