Fred Joseph Mckee

McKEE, Fred - At the Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday May 15, 2013. Frederick "Fred" J. McKee of Woodstock in his 72nd year. Dear companion of Lynne Burrill. Beloved husband of the late Evelyne D. (nee Marsh) Mckee (2008). Loved father of Erin Bender and her husband Joseph of Woodstock and Heather Wilkinson and her husband Nicholas of West Lorne. Cherished grandfather of Aiden, Gemma Rose, Seth, Cole and Cameron. Dear brother of John McKee (Marilyn) of Ottawa, brother-in-law to Dan Bester of London and is survived by his first wife Michelle McKee. Predeceased by his sister Patricia Bester. Fred served with the Canadian Navy and Army, was a member of the OCNVA "Navy Club" and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock. He was a barber in the Woodstock area for over 46 years. Fred enjoyed his fishing and was a man of his own wit. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday May 17, 2013 from 7-9 pm ,where the memorial service to celebrate Fred's life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place, Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
