BALKEMA - Peacefully at his residence on Thursday, March 26, 2009, Frank (Fobbo) Balkema of Woodstock in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Annie (nee Streutker) Balkema (1992). Dear father of Jack Balkema, Hetty Balkema (Darrel Ford) of Ingersoll and father-in-law of Diane Balkema. Loved grandfather of four grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Emmy Walton (late Ralph), Alice Vanderspek (Case), and Anne Vandezande (George). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Frank was a lifelong member of Covenant Christian Reformed Church. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock, on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Loerts officiating.
