Francis Clement "Frank" Bannon

BANNON, Francis "Frank" C. - Suddenly at his home on Monday February 9, 2015 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Grace M. (nee Cosstick) Bannon for over 26 years. Dear father of the late Daniel "Danny" Bannon and step father of Michelle (Brian) Kennedy and Gary McKay. Loved Papa of Skyler, Adam, Rachel and Katie. Dear brother-in-law of Anne Bannon, Theresa Bannon, Bob Cosstick, Gail (Gord) Collins and is survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his siblings; Bill, Margaret, Jim, Pat, Irene, Hannah, Basil, Mike and Eugene. He was the last surviving member of his own family. Frank served in the R.C.N. during WW II aboard the HMCS Lunenburg and after the war he returned to active service aboard the HMCS Magnificent. He was also a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday February 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 131 Thames St. N., Ingersoll on Saturday at 10:30 am with Fr. Gilbert Simard officiating. Interment later in the Kinkora Cemetery.
