Foppe (Paul) Dejong

DeJong - At Woodingford Lodge on Thursday September 23, 2004. Foppe "Paul" DeJong formerly of Chieftain St., Woodstock went home to be with the Lord in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Jessie DeJong (nee Hofstra) for over 56 years. Dear father of Jessie Schut and her husband Al of Edmonton, Susan Pallister and her husband Bob of Bothwell and Frances Ross and her husband Don of Edmonton. Loved grandfather of Gini (Scott) Cook, Greg (Cindy) Pallister, Kevin (Kristin) Schut, Steven Schut, Jamie (Deb) Pallister, Jonathan Schut (Emma Hutchinson), Danielle Schut, Connor Ross, Liam Ross and Great Grandfather of Allyssa, Matthew, Jeffrey, Bradley, Gabriel, Karina and Aya. Dear brother of Sietske Willemse of Holland and survived by his many in laws in Holland and especially by his sisters-in-law Freda Wesselson and her husband Rudolph of Embro and Ann Luth and her husband Andy of Woodstock. Predeceased by a brother and three sisters. Foppe had been an active member of the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church for many years. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Friday 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church on Saturday at 1:00pm with Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating. Visitation will also be held on Saturday 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in the Hillview Cemetery. Contributions to the Mission to Haiti would be appreciated.
