"Teen" peacefully departed this life on April 5, 2025, in her 100th year. She passed surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy marked by warmth, resilience, faith and unwavering dedication to her family.
A devoted mother, she is survived by her loving children: Susan Dafoe, Murray (Connie) Dafoe, and Tom (Cathie) Dafoe. She leaves behind a cherished family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jason Brown (Deborah Wearn) Max and Maggie; Matthew Brown (Lisa McIntosh) John and Braden; Tricia Agocs (David) Claire and Broderick; Breelynne Dafoe; Adam Dafoe (Meghan) Zoie and Harvey; Tyler Dafoe (Jill) Jake and Luke; Mike Dafoe (Melissa); Ben Dafoe (Abby) Clarence and Ada; and Tim Dafoe (Danielle) Everitt and Sophie. Known as “Great” to her 14 great grandchildren; she was well loved by each of them.
Teen is also survived by her sister Barbara Powell (Don), along with many beloved nieces and nephews who treasured her spirit and guidance.
She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Warren Dafoe in 2001, and her sisters Grace Pyne (Jim) and Dorothy Armstrong (Harold), as well as her brothers Jack Easby (Judy), and Robert Easby (Eileen).
A proud WWII Veteran, Teen served as an administrator in both London and Toronto. In the past, she worked at Easby Draperies, and spent many years in the Circulation Department at the Woodstock Sentinel-Review.
Teen’s personality resonated with everyone around her; she was well-liked and had a remarkable ability to make people laugh. Her family was at the centre of her world, and her quiet faith played a significant role in her life. She was known for being social and resilient, navigating life with a spirit of independence.
In her personal time, Teen stayed active through tai chi and yoga, and took pleasure in knitting and crocheting. Many fond memories were made during time spent at the cottage, a place of rest and joy for her family.
Teen will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, humour, and dedication to family will continue to motivate and inspire those who were fortunate to be part of her life.
A private family Celebration of Life is planned for a future date.
