ATKINSON, Flo - Peacefully, after a long struggle. Florence Atkinson (nee Trotter) at the Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday January 3, 2008 in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Jack Atkinson and by her dear friend Dave Brown. Much loved Mom of Marilyn Watson (Rick) of Woodstock, Carol Bruce (Dave) of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Jake (Janet) of Courtenay, B.C., Jim (Marjorie) of Toronto, Barb Reid (John) of Dorchester, Chris Clemens (Paul) of Cambridge and Jason (Cindy) of Woodstock. Very special Grandma Flo to Lisa, Paul, Robyn, Lynsey, Shawn, Dylan, Leah, Karly, Brodie, Bill, Paula, Jeff, Liz, Holly, Curtis and Kyle. Adored Great-Grandma "GG" to Jess, Connor, Kaila, Liam, Sophie, Natalie and Will. Survived by her sister Vivian Armstrong and by several nieces and nephews. Flo will be sadly missed also by her dear and devoted friends Penny Scott and Mabel Ste. Marie. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday January 8, 2008 from 7-9 pm, and again on Wednesday from 12:00 - 2:00 pm where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel to celebrate Flo's life on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jane VanPatter officiating. Interment later in the Anglican Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
