Ferne Eileen (Willsie) Racknor

RACKNOR, Ferne Eileen (nee Willsie) Mom passed away in St Thomas on July 23rd in her 87th year. She was predeceased by her husband Don (2010) . She is survived by her son Jim (Mary Calder), daughter Pat (Ken Parker), grandson Chris (Kristina) and grandson Andrew (Victra). She was Supergrandma to Adelaide and Alexander. Mom was the middle child of 9 born to Irven and Beatrice Willsie in Creditville. She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Elvin, Almon and Ross, her sister Bereniece Collie, sister-in-law Helen Willsie, brother-in-law Stu Collie and brother-in law George McLelland She is survived by her sisters Dorothy McLelland, Rose Green (Norm Sutherland), Reah Webb (Ted) and Edna Williamson (Dyce) as well as her sisters-in-law Joan Willsie and Barbara Blake. Mom always did her best to keep tabs on the myriad of nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of the family. During her years in Creditville, Princeton, Eastwood and Woodstock Mom was always involved in the community by supporting or organizing school and church activities. While I might first think of her as a tobacco jack-of-all-trades for Stu and Bereniece the job she identified with and loved the most was driving school bus for Scott Bus Lines. Over more than 25 years there were hundreds of kids that became "hers" once they were lucky enough for her to be assigned to their route. The family wishes to thank the staff at Caressant Care in St. Thomas for the loving care they provided mom over the past two years. As per her wishes cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on August 23rd, 2018 1:30 pm at Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock.ON. (519-539-0004) .
