RAMIER PRINCE, Marie "Fern" Fernande Gabrielle (nee Grenier) - Died on May 10, 2011 at the Woodstock General Hospital after a long term illness. Beloved wife of Carl Prince. Beloved mother of Richard "Rick" (Betty Trepani), Marie (Claude Gauthier), Michael (Michelle Ramier) and step mother of Tim Prince and predeceased by her sons Robert, Gerald and Thomas. Fern will be sadly missed by her brothers, sisters especially Levis who lived close by, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Fern taught French with the Oxford County Separate School Board. Her students knew her as "Madame Ramier" for 19 years. Fern had battled Parkinson's disease for 26 years. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and enjoying her garden despite her illness. She never complained of her disabilities. She often said there was someone worse off than her. She shared her generosity with many organizations. She enjoyed many special events with family. She and Carl enjoyed their camping trips to the East coast and locally. She always had a smile to whomever she greeted. She enjoyed special visits from her grandchildren. Many special thanks to Dr. Douglas Neal and staff for years of dedicated care and service. Many thanks to ER and 4th floor staff for the temporary care and support. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for a time of visitation at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday May 12, 2011 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm.
