Chong - At Bonnie Brae Nursing Home, Tavistock on Wednesday November 12, 2003. Fay Ham Chong formerly of R.R. # 2 Thamesford and R.R. #7 Woodstock in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late For-Dee Shih,( March 23, 1982) and the late Beatrice E. Foster (November 11, 2003). Dear father of Lynne Craddock of Woodstock (Richard ), Eric Chong and his wife Barbara of Toronto and Yvonne Chong and her husband Gordon Phillips of Fingal. Loved grandfather of Nathan, Nichele Lyn and Nicole Lyn Craddock and Christina and Gina Chong. Also survived by his brother Hugh Chong and his wife Helen of Woodstock, sister Sue Wong of Dundas, sisters-in-law Rena Chong, Dorothy Chong and Margaret Chong all of Toronto and brothers-in-law George "Bill" Mon and Lin Yao both of Toronto and Bill Wong of Montreal. Predeceased by his sisters Edna Lee, Eva Wong, Dr. Ming Yao and Nora Mon brothers Harry, George, Ying, Woi, and Nam brothers-in-law, Art Lee and Du Wong and sister-in-law Viola Chong. Fay was the past owner of Havelock Farm, R.R. # 7 Woodstock and a member of the Westminster United Church Friendship Club in Thamesford. Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (539-0004) on Saturday after 2:30 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 3:30 pm with Rev. David Snihur officiating. Interment in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery following cremation. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
