SMITH - Peacefully at the Maples Nursing Home in Tavistock on Sat., June 4, 2005. Fanny Ellena Beatrice (Sim) Smith, formerly of Hickson. Born in Innerkip April 21, 1906, passed away in 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Werner D. Smith (1995) and Dear mother of the late Roy Smith (2000). Lena is survived by her Daughter-in-law Mary Smith of RR# 7, Woodstock. Cherished Grandmother of Jim (Pat) Smith, RR# 7, Woodstock and Ken (Brenda) Smith, Tavistock. Four Great-Grandchildren Jeff (Margie) Smith, Tricia (Jerry)Haynes, Jodi (Chad) Ziegler and Darryl (Susan) Smith. Proud Great-Great Grandmother to Ashley & Emily Smith, Amber & Madison Haynes, Ryan & Reegan Ziegler and Griffin Smith. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her family, Lena was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Jessie Sim, five brothers and five sisters. Lena was a member of Hebron United Church and the UCW, a Life Member of the Hickson Women's Institute and member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Innerkip. Family and friends will be received at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004 on Monday June 6, 2005 from 7 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Hebron United Church on Tuesday June 7, 2005 at 11:00 am. Interment in the Innerkip Cemetery.
