Thornton, Evelyn May - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Evelyn Thornton (Thorne) on October 20th 2016, in her 85th year at Henley Place Long Term Care, London. Proud mother of 15 children: Judy (John) Findlay, Jerry (Nancy), Larry, Roger (Elizabeth), Sharon, Cindy, Donald (Sharon), Doug (Chris), Carol, Connie (Ron) Page, Mike and Rob. Predeceased by 3 children: Gerald, Shirley, and Angela. She will also be missed by 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Friends and relatives may join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Thamesford Chapel, 177 Dundas St. Thamesford, 519-285-2427, on Sunday, Oct 23rd from 1-4 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow at the Beatty Room located in the Thamesford Library.
