Murray, Evelyn F. - Circled by her loving daughters at Sakura House, Woodstock, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, Evelyn F. Murray (nee Eaton) in her 73rd year left our earth to dance once more. Beloved partner of 25 years to Arch Allcott. Admired mother to Kim (Gary) Van Well of Ingersoll, Robyn Thibodeau of Woodstock, late Larry Murray (1993), and Tami (Kelly) Walker-Murray of Ingersoll. Dear sister to Ric (Dorothy) Eaton. She will be fondly remembered as the grandmother of Jennifer Van Well, Jason Van Well, Bailey Thibodeau, Jordyn and Teagyn-Jane Walker-Murray and her great grandson Aaden Van Well. Sadly missed by her dear uncle Don (Jean) Eaton and family of Faulkland and by her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her friendship will be forever cherished by childhood best friend Maime Singleton of Paris. Predeceased by her parents Florence (1990) and Oran (1945) Eaton, her sister Marion Eaton and brother Larry Eaton. Mom was an avid dart player for more than thirty years and will be missed as a member of the Moose Lodge and Bright dart leagues. Her accomplishments are many in both women's singles and team participation. She was recognized at the Provincial Moose champions by receiving the Ernie Nesbit Trophy for her positive sportsmanship and team enthusiasm. Evelyn will be missed by many and always remembered for her generous heart, strength, resiliency and integrity as a woman, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. Her passion for dancing, gardening, and family was who she was, and her legacy will always live within the ones she blessed with love. Special thanks go to the staff and volunteers at Sakura House for their care and compassion with mom and supporting our family through this difficult journey. In addition, the little sisters would like to thank our big sister for all the time, patience, and caring she provided for mom in her final days. As planned by Evelyn, there will be a celebration of life memorial dance / darts at the Moose Lodge, Woodstock on Sunday May 9, 2010 from 1:30 - 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Sakura House, which may be arranged through the Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock, (519-539-0004).
