Erwin Rauch

Erwin Rauch, a cherished husband, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025, at Woodstock Hospital, at the age of 65. Born on December 13, 1959, in Kitchener, Ontario, Erwin touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

Erwin's life was marked by his deep love for his wife, Laurie, who stood by him through thick and thin. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, filled with laughter, support, and an abundance of shared memories. Together, they shared their home with three beloved kitties—Spike, Duke, and Smoky—who brought joy and companionship into their lives. As a brother, Erwin was fortunate to have the company of Wilfried (Sigrid) and Christl (Al) Rossiter, and his late brother Eric. He shared a special connection with his siblings, creating lifelong memories filled with laughter and love. His heart swelled with pride as he watched the next generation grow. He was a devoted uncle to nieces and nephews Jared, Rebecca, Ariel (Gabriel), Carmen, and Andreas, his interest and pride in each of their dreams and accomplishments was evident.

Always remembered and missed dearly are his parents, Eric and Else Rauch. His mother Else and grandmother Oma laid the foundation of love and strength in his life. 

Erwin's legacy is one of love that spans beyond his immediate family. He leaves behind a wide network of extended family members and friends who hold fond memories of his gentle spirit and infectious smile. His absence will be deeply felt, but the love he spread will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know him.

Erwin's journey may have come to an end, but the love he nurtured and the bonds he forged will live on as a testament to a life well-lived. In celebrating Erwin's life, let us remember the joy he brought to the world and the way he made every person feel valued and loved.

Erwin bravely dealt with mental and physical health issues from a young age. He always had hope for a better tomorrow.
