Ernest "Ernie" A. Rutter

RUTTER, Ernie A. - Peacefully at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Tuesday July 24th, 2012. Ernie Rutter of RR# 2, Mt. Elgin in his 86th year. Survived by his wife Doreen (nee Boden) Rutter of 61 years. Loving father of Eva Cromwell (Bruce), Rick Rutter (Wendy), Kathy Chambers (Dave), Howard Rutter, Ruby Gabris (Mike Bosher), Norman Rutter (Sue) and Ruth Millen (Tim Heffren). Cherished grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and is survived by his brothers Wes Rutter (Gladys), Bill Rutter (Carol) and brother-in-law to Jack Boden (Ethel) and Donna Long (Roger). Ernie will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and will be missed by his little companion "Chevy". Predeceased by his son Walter Rutter (1963), son-in-law Rick Gabris (2003), Parents James and Charlotte Rutter, Son-in-law of the late George and Ruby Boden. Ernie was a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and was a past employee of Timberjack. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday July 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Autism Society of Canada or the Canadian Down Syndrome Society would be appreciated.
