Erie Tilson Ward

WARD, Erie Tilson (Harwood) - Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Friday December 18th, 2015 in her 99th year. Wife of the late John K. Ward(1981). Daughter of Lewis and Mary Ann Harwood. Loving mother of son Kenneth (Donna) Ward of Gravenhurst and daughter Wendy (David) Atkinson of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Christine (Paul) Kempe of Burlington, David (Tina) Ward of Whitby, Andrea (Claudio) Canizares of San Jose, California and Jesse Atkinson of Kitchener. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren Emily and Gordon Kempe, Donna, Angela and William Ward and Lucas Canizares. One sister Marie(Vernon) Dyment of Powell River B.C. Also survived my many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters, Emma Dawson, Grace Harwood and two brothers Borden and Lydon Harwood. Erie was a long time member of Dundas United Church where she had many good friends. She was a life member of U.C.W. She also had many friends at the Langdon Retirement Villa where she resided for the last few years. During her lifetime she enjoyed music, the beauty of nature, travel and all kinds of needlework with always a perfect stitch. A celebration of Life will be held at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, ON, on Tuesday December 29th, 2015 from 12-1pm where a service will be held at 1pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Dundas Street United Church or the Woodstock Hospital would be greatly appreciated and can be arranged through the funeral home.
