Rendle Elsie May It is with sadness that the family of Elsie May Rendle (Norman) announces the end of her journey with us, on Saturday July 30, 2011, at University Hospital, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of Thomas Henry Rendle for 72 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Brenda and Terry Fieldhouse of London. Devoted grandmother of Ty (Kathy) and Trent (Carrie) Fieldhouse and special great grandmother to Paighton, Ryan, Reece, Brayden and Teagan. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Jessie Norman, brothers Ellis (Muriel), Melvin and Reginald (Isabel) Norman. Dear sister-in-law of Lorraine Rendle (George) of London, Ruby Rendle (Jack), and Robert and Betty (predeceased) of Brantford, and June Norman (Melvin) of Toronto, also loved by several nieces and nephews. Elsie was born August 13, 1918 in Brantford, ON and formally resided in Thamesford, ON where she participated in many community activities. A long time member of the United Church of Canada and she was an avid figure and speed skater. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home 177 Dundas Street Thamesford, on Friday August 5, 2011 during the hour preceding the Funeral service which will follow at 11 AM, with Reverend David Carrothers officiating. Interment of Cremated remains Zion 7th line Cemetery, Thames Centre. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be given and would be appreciated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the CNIB.
