Elsie (Buzek) Foster

It’s with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Elsie Foster, in her 98th year at Woodstock Hospital on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023.

Predeceased by her parents Peter and Lena Buzek and her brothers, Bill (Helen), George (Helen) and Michael (Ella).

Survived by her son, Len of Woodstock, and granddaughter Haylon (Bryan) of Brandon, Manitoba, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Elsie worked as a clerk stenographer at the Woodstock OPP detachment for almost 30 years, up until her retirement in 1991.

Thank-you to Marlo, Bonny, and all the staff at Oxford Gardens for all their care and understanding, and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Woodstock Hospital.  A special thanks to Ross and Sue for their more than generous help and support during Elsie’s last years.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, on Tuesday, June 27 at 12 noon.  Interment will follow at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodstock Hospital or a charity of one’s choice.
