HALL - At Woodstock General Hospital on Monday March 24, 2003. Elmer W. Hall of Caressant Care Nursing Home and formerly of Brompton Ave., Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Lillian Hall (nee Leeper) for 62 years. Dear father of Douglas of Edmonton Alberta, David of Victoria B.C., Grace Dowden and her husband Richard of Kingston Washington. Loved grandfather of Colleen Dowden, Jacqui Hall, Jenine Dowden and Rebecca Hall and great grandfather of Janessa Dowden. Elmer farmed at R.R.#1 Harley all his life until retiring and moving to Woodstock 10 years ago. He was a weekly vendor at the Woodstock Farmer's Market for many years. He was an active member of East Oxford Baptist Church until a few years ago when they became members of First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Friday 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev James Davey officiating. Interment later in the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the East Oxford Baptist Church would be appreciated.
