Ellen Laverne (Mcintosh) Wilker

WILKER, Ellen L. - Peacefully on Friday November 28, 2014, Ellen Laverne Wilker (nee McIntosh) formerly of Canterbury St., Woodstock in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer W. Wilker (1980). Dear mother of the late Don Wilker (2014), (Joyce), Walter (Barb) Wilker, Sharon (Glen) Matheson, Heather (Rick) Culbert. Loved grandmother of eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Cedric Holland, Florence McIntosh, Beatrice Schmidt, Ken and Eleanor Wilker. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Jean Holland and her brother Scott McIntosh. Ellen and Elmer raised their family on the farm in East Zorra before retiring to Hickson. She enjoyed her many hobbies including quilting, sewing, baking and had been an active member of the Braemar Women's Institute. Ellen was very involved and supportive of all her families activities. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday, December 2nd , 2014 from 10-11 am where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 at 11am. Interment later in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Tavistock. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated.
