Ellen (Hopkins) Robertson

ROBERTSON, Ellen- Peacefully at Woodstock Hospital on November 22nd 2012 . Mary Ellen (nee Hopkins) Robertson of Woodstock in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Murray William Robertson (2009). Dear mother of John Robertson (Timmi) of Toronto and Graham Robertson (Carrie Sumsion) of Eastwood. Loved sister of Carol Smith (late Robert), Laura Kearse (Percy), Bruce Hopkins (Judy), Howard Hopkins (Lynn) and sister-in-law to Marlene Hopkins, Donald Pickersgill (Trudy), Ruth Ann Robertson (late Warren) and is survived by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Alice and by her brother Larry. Ellen was an active volunteer in many community organizations especially the Canadian Cancer Society (over 40 years) and the Alzheimer Society Oxford County Branch. She was a member of the Woodingford Lodge Auxiliary (over 30 years) and was an Alumni member of the Woodstock General Hospital Nursing Class of 1958. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday November 26, 2012 from 7-9 pm and again on Tuesday after 10:00 am where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Interment in the Hillview Cemetery.
