It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” June Scott (nee Rupert) announce her peaceful passing in her 73rd year, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto on February 25th, 2023 on her son’s birthday with her daughter at her side. Predeceased by her husband Wilfred “Ted” Neil Scott (2017). Dear mother of Earl (Linda) Scott and Kelly Scott. Loved Grandma of Mackenzie, J-R, Amber, Candice and Jessika and loved Great-Grandma of seven. Loved by her furry baby Boots. Dear sister of Frank (Marj), Howard (Rose), John (Linda) Rupert, Nora (Brian) Moreland, Darlene (Bruce) Julian, Elaine (Darrell) Cahill and Carol (Mark) Somers, sister-in-law of Robert Scott and Wendy Scott. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ted and Joyce Rupert, sister Marion Rupert, and by her brothers-in-law Gary, Rick, Paul, Brian, and sister-in-law Cheryl Scott. Betty was a strong determined lady who fought a long fight of 60 years with Cystic Fibrosis.  Her inner spirit, determination and passion for life gave us such a blessing of many extra years with her. We are beyond grateful for the time we have had with her. Betty was an Associate Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 495 Beachville and Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 119 Ladies Auxiliary.  Betty devoted her past time as the Branch 495 and Zone B2 Poppy Chairs, Branch Zone B2 Sports Officer, and the Ladies Auxiliary Zone B2 Zone Commander.  Betty enjoyed cooking for Friday night suppers, as well as helping with any event she could. Betty also enjoyed spending time with her friends at her trailer in Bayfield. A memorial visitation will take place on Sunday March 5th, 2023, from 1-3 pm followed by a joint Branch and Ladies Auxiliary Legion Service at 5 pm followed by a memorial visitation from 6-8 at Brock and Visser Funeral Home.
