Elizabeth Petronella "Betty" De Graaf

de Graaf, Betty - Peacefully at Sakura House on Friday July 20, 2012. Elizabeth "Betty" Petronella de Graaf of Woodstock in her 55th year, was carried home by angels to be with her father John (2011) and her mother Elizabeth "Lisa" (1969) de Graaf and her nephew Ryan de Graaf (2008). Dad remarried in 1971 and Betty was loved by her new mother Dinphina de Graaf of Woodstock. Much loved, special sister of Henry (Sally) of Ingersoll, John (Ruth) of Oxford Centre, Pat de Graaf of Woodstock, John Does (Wanda) of Markham, Gary Does (Kathy) of Weston, Richard Does (Adam Cooney) of Sydney, Australia and Deb Greenwood (Collie) of Mississauga. Betty will always be remembered as fun loving and affectionate by her nieces and nephews and by her great nieces and great nephews. Betty had special way about her that drew people in. You just couldn't help but love her and see the angel within. With her warmth and purity she did the job God wanted her to do - to love and teach every one of us to see the best in everyone and everything. A sincere thank you to the staff of Woodingford Lodge and Woodstock Hospital. So many of you fell in love with her innocence and sweetness. A special thank you to Dr. George and Dr. Onishenko for your care and support to Betty and her family while she was in hospital and also to Sakura House for the peace and comfort during Betty's final hours. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday July 23, 2012 from 7- 9 pm. A time of visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 am. A mass of the resurrection will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Woodstock on Tuesday at 11:00am with Father Richard Dales officiating. Cremation to follow.
