Elizabeth (Bratscher) Fekete

FEKETE, Elizabeth (Bratscher) – Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, July 6th, 2021, in her 94th year.  March 16, 1950 was the beginning of 71 years with her husband Gabriel Fekete.  Devoted mother of Douglas (Vanessa) Fekete, Betteanne Cadman (David Ferris), and Cheryl (Andre) Leonhardt. Nan/Omi loved and cherished her grandchildren Gabriel Fekete, Dylan (Shannon) Cadman, Dustin (Olivia) Cadman, Jamie (Lacey) McLaren and Caitlin Verouden (Aaron Black). Proud great grandmother of Danica Cadman, Bruce Cadman; Milaya and Indie McLaren. Dear sister of the late Adam (late Kay) and Hank (Shirley). Sister-in-law of the late Joe (late Helen) Fekete, Joan (late John) Tarcza and William (Doreen) Fekete.  Predeceased by her parents Christian Bratscher and Ethel (née Stock) Bratscher. Elizabeth is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  The ravages of dementia eventually robbed Elizabeth of her sharp memory, although even to her passing she was aware of the connection with her family.   We were very fortunate to experience her love and affection throughout our lives.  Her passion was her family, sewing, baking, and listening to the German radio program on Sundays.  Cremation has taken place.  At her request, there will be no visitation or service.  A private family interment of ashes to take place at a later date.  Her wish was that small acts of kindness be extended to those you encounter throughout your life.  Arrangements entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home (519-539-0004).
